Reporting to the Manager, Right-of-Way Planning this position is responsible for the environmental evaluation, environmental planning and environmental permitting for all capital transmission projects consistent with regulator expectations and corporate policies and procedures. The position supervises 5-10 Environmental Planners to deliver environmental assessment and services to dozens of capital transmission projects annually, ranging from small substation sites to large high voltage transmission lines throughout the Province of Alberta (both Crown land and private land). The position coordinates departmental activities to ensure alignment with various regulator expectations, including the Alberta Utilities Commission (AUC), Alberta Environment and Sustainable Resource Development (AESRD) and Parks Canada. |
